Past Program      August 26,2008 at 1:30 p.m.                David Kirby           Sales Representative at Monrovia Nursery     presented   "Garden Memories-New and Improved "     He discussed plant selection for recreating the gardens we loved belonging to our mothers and grandmothers ­ BUT made easier with improved, new varieties of the plants they grew. David brought some plants for us to purchase.       Monrovia Nursery was founded in 1926 by Harry Rosedale. Monrovia Nursery now produces more than 22 million container-grown plants in 2,000 varieties. It has introduced some 300 exclusive plants, holding some 100 patents and more than 160 federal and state trademarks. Among its plants are camellias, citrus, conifers, ferns, perennials, and rhododendrons.
